Life Care Center of Elizabethton, a skilled nursing and rehab facility, was recently named a 2017-2018 U.S. News & World Report Best Nursing Home.
U.S. News & World Report rates centers using data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services covering health inspections, nurse staffing and quality of care.
Life Care Center of Elizabethton is one of just over 2,000 facilities in the country that received the Best honor, achieving top nursing home status among more than 15,000 nationwide. Fewer than 15 percent of nursing homes nationwide received a Best rating.
“We were able to achieve the ranking because the whole building works together to reach a common goal, to provide excellent patient care,” said Angi Bradnan, executive director at the center. “We try really hard to not only treat people’s illnesses, but to help feed their souls with love and support. Sometimes love and encouragement is the best medicine a person can have! We are all really proud to see all that hard work and dedication recognized in this way.”
The facility is also ranked at five out of five stars by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
