Sharon Nave needed help getting back to her normal lifestyle after a stroke.

When she came to Life Care Center of Elizabethton, Tennessee, on July 5, 2019, she needed some assistance with all of her mobility and most of her activities of daily living, like getting dressed, bathing and brushing her hair.

Nave worked with physical and occupational therapists on increasing strength. She used the NuStep® and Omnicycle® exercise machines to work on her upper and lower body and did balance and stair training as well. She also worked on regaining independence in her self-care skills.

“I am very happy with the care I received,” said Nave. “The staff are very caring, and rehab really pushed me to do my best.”

Nave completed her rehabilitation and returned home independently on July 18.
